Clarification regarding appointment under Rule 17-A Category A, B or of Medical Invalidation Certificate

Appointment Under Rule 17-A

Government of the Punjab, Service and General Administration Department, Regulation Wing has issued clarification on 01-02-2019 for appointment under Rule 17-A after retirement on medical grounds. 
It has been observed that the family member of deceased / medically retired  employee with assigned category A or B will be entitled to appointment under Rule 17-A of the Punjab Civil Servants (Appointment and Condition) Service Rules, 1974. 

However, the family of retired on medical grounds and with category C by the Medical Board are not entitled to get benefit of job for their children under Rule 17-A of Punjab civil servant rules.
